Obama adviser sidesteps Cheney's terror criticism

(AP) — The White House national security adviser is refusing to get into it with Dick Cheney over the former vice president's criticism of the Obama administration's terror-fighting policies.

James Jones says national security isn't a partisan issue. He says assessing Cheney's attacks depends on what information the former vice president has.

Jones tells CNN's "State of the Union" that "if it's informed, that's one thing."

Vice President Joe Biden is taking a much tougher stand. He tells NBC's "Meet the Press" that Cheney is either misinformed or is misinforming.
