Obama takes his health care message to Fox News Channel
President Barack Obama will be interviewed Wednesday by the Fox News Channel, his second appearance on the network since administration officials last year singled out Fox for being critical of his policies.
Obama is in a final drive for congressional passage of health care legislation and has been undertaking a public campaign to make his case. He was interviewed Monday by ABC News after a health care speech in Ohio.
The president's aides have been critical of the News Corp. cable channel for its coverage of the administration. Former White House communications director Anita Dunn last October said on cable rival CNN that Fox "often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party."
Obama skipped News Corp.'s Fox broadcast network in September when he appeared on five Sunday news programs. He did grant an interview to the network Nov. 18.
Today's interview is set for broadcast at 6 p.m. according to the network's Web site.
