WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump took a jab at former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday, tweeting that the Democrat would “go down fast and hard” in a fight — two days after Biden said he probably would have “beat the hell out of the president” in high school.

“Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy,” Trump tweeted Thursday morning. “Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!”

Biden, speaking at an anti-sexual assault rally at the University of Miami on Tuesday, took aim at the president’s past remarks about women. Without naming Trump, Biden noted that Trump was caught on tape in 2005 boasting about grabbing and kissing women without their consent. Trump later issued an apology for his remarks, describing them as “locker room talk.”

“A guy who ended up becoming our national leader said, ‘I can grab a woman anywhere and she likes it,’ ” Biden said, referring to the leaked audio of Trump’s conversation with then “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush. “They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said ‘no.’ I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.’”

Biden added: “I’ve been in a lot of locker rooms my whole life. I’m a pretty damn good athlete. Any guy that talked that way was usually the fattest, ugliest S.O.B. in the room.”

The former vice president’s remarks come as Trump’s personal legal team continues to fight back against lawsuits directed at the president by former alleged paramours and women accusing him of sexual harassment.

Earlier this week, a New York Supreme Court judge ruled that a defamation lawsuit against the president, filed by former “Apprentice” contestant Summer Zervos could move forward. Zervos, who accused the president of sexually assaulting her in 2007, argues in her lawsuit that Trump defamed her once she came forward with her allegations in the final weeks of the 2016 election. The president has denied assaulting Zervos.

Meanwhile, porn actress Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal are suing to be released from legal agreements they signed before the presidential campaign restricting them from talking about an alleged affair each claim to have had with the president while he was married to Melania Trump.

White House officials have previously dismissed McDougal’s allegations as “fake news.” Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen admitted to The New York Times earlier this month that he paid Daniels $130,000 out of his own pocket for her to remain quiet about her allegations, but has said the Trump campaign and Trump organization were unaware of the payout.
