BEIRUT — In a story published October 10, 2023, about the Palestinian militant group Hamas, The Associated Press erroneously reported that over the years, Hamas received backing from Arab countries, such as Qatar and Turkey. It should have been that Hamas received backing from Arab and Muslim countries, such as Qatar and Turkey.
