YARNELL, Ariz. -- A one-square-mile wildfire burning in a central Arizona community has led to the evacuation of 50 homes that are threatened by the blaze.

Fire information officer Mike Reichling says no homes have been lost in the fire northwest of the Yavapai County community of Yarnell.

In Utah, the heat also was posing a challenge to firefighters battling the 5,200-acre Antelope Fire west of historic Cove Fort in Millard County, the largest of three wildfires in the state.

The lightning-caused blaze was 30 percent contained Sunday and posed no threat to any structures, U.S. Bureau of Land Management spokeswoman Lisa Reid said.

Reichling says the Arizona blaze was within a mile of some homes but was burning away from them.

The Yarnell Hill fire prompted evacuations in the Model Creek, Buckhorn and Double A Bar Ranch areas about 85 miles northwest of Phoenix.

Crews are doing work around the homes to help guard against the fire.

The fire started on Friday and picked up momentum Sunday as the area experienced high temperatures, low humidity and windy conditions.
