The Hempstead Town clerk’s office is again participating in National Passport Day tomorrow.

The event, known as “Passport Day in the USA,” is an initiative from the U.S. State Department to allow citizens to apply for a passport at a Regional Passport Agency without an appointment. The service will be available at Hempstead Town Hall, 1 Washington St. in Hempstead Village, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Applicants will be able to fill out first-time applications, as well as renew passports that might be expired or will be expiring. Photos will also be available on-site.

For more information, call the passport section of the clerk’s office at 516-812-3100, visit the town’s website at toh.li or the Department of State’s website at travel.state.gov.
