Top area players will star in a benefit basketball game Saturday in memory of three summer camp counselors who died in a car crash two years ago.

The second annual Malone Mulhall Benefit Basketball Game will honor Floral Park residents Michael Mulhall, 22, Jamie Malone, 22, and Paige Malone, 19, who died on July 15, 2010, after their car crashed into a tree along the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Roosevelt.

The game will be held at 1 p.m. in the Adelphi University gymnasium, at 1 South Ave. in Garden City. Players scheduled to appear include Danny Green of North Babylon and the San Antonio Spurs, and former college stars and NBA Summer League players Justin Burrell and Paris Horne of St. John’s University, Terrell Holloway of Xavier University, Tyronne Nash of the University of Notre Dame and Scott Machado of Iona College.
Basketball Hall of Famer Chris Mullin and Knicks announcer Mike Breen will be celebrity coaches.

All the players and Half Hollow Hills West High School alum Tobias Harris of the Milwaukee Bucks will also be in attendance for the autograph session following the game.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and younger. Tickets can be purchased online at www.mmbenefitgame.com or at the Adelphi box office the day of the game.

All proceeds will go to the Jamie and Paige Malone Foundation, and the Michael Mulhall Memorial Scholarship.
