The name of the game is networking — and small-business owners are invited to do that at Suffolk County’s second annual Small Business Summit on Nov. 8.

The summit is sponsored by the county’s Small Business Advisory Council to give local business owners a chance to meet representatives from government and local chambers of commerce, import and export experts, management groups and specialists to grow their businesses. Officials from town governments, the Empire State Development Corporation and the federal Small Business Administration will be on hand as well.

The event runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the H. Lee Dennison Building (100 Veterans Hwy., Hauppauge). To register, call the Stony Brook Small Business Development Center at 631-632-9837 or email sbdc@stonybrook.edu.
