The second annual New Cassel farmers market will open for the season on Saturday.

The market, held at the First Baptist Cathedral of Westbury, will be open each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The market is organized by the Unified New Cassel Community Revitalization Corp., and will feature produce booths staffed by local teens who are receiving job training.

The market also will provide transportation twice a month to bring senior citizens from several senior-housing projects in New Cassel to the site to shop.

The market’s season ends on Nov. 17.
