Several men stabbed on subway platforms

Several men were stabbed on Manhattan subway platforms in separate incidents over the weekend, including one incident in which a man attacked a father after bumping into his son, authorities said.

In the first incident, a 38-year-old man slashed two men and stabbed a third after he bumped into a child while leaving the No. 4 train Saturday at Grand Central Terminal, court records show.

"Get the [expletive] out of the way," Ivan Deleon told the young boy's father just after midnight Saturday, records show. "I'll kill your kids."

Deleon then swung at the father, 29, who was not identified, before slashing his right arm, according to police and the criminal complaint.

Deleon then stabbed the man's brother, 25, in the chest and his friend, 27, in the lower right abdomen. They were taken to Bellevue Hospital Center, where they were in serious but stable condition, court records show.

Deleon was charged with assault, attempted assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, the criminal complaint says. His cash bail was set at $150,000 at his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court.

At the scene, a witness grabbed the knife and handed it to police, court records showed.

Deleon's lawyer, Alan Abramson, asked the prosecutor to preserve all video evidence from the area.

"We are confident that once all of the evidence is available and reviewed, Ivan will be exonerated," he said yesterday.

Deleon's next court appearance is Thursday.

In another incident, two young men attacked a 23-year-old man Saturday, slashing his upper lip, right arm and right chest on the platform of the northbound No. 6 train at 59th Street, police said.

The man was then punched after a fight about 3:50 p.m., police said. It was not clear what started the fight.

The suspects, who both appear to be 18 to 20 years old, fled, police said.

Bronx cops shoot man

attacking his girlfriend

Police officers shot a 34-year-old man attacking his girlfriend with a knife early yesterday in the Bronx, authorities said.

The man, who was not identified, was attacking the woman, 32, with an 8-inch knife inside a building on Sedgwick Avenue about 3:50 a.m., police said.

The couple spilled from the stairwell into the lobby of the building, near West 195th Street, police said.

Police ordered him to stop, but he refused, and two officers shot and struck the man in the torso.

Each officer shot at him once, police said.

Both the man and his girlfriend were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. The officers were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital and treated for tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, police said.

The couple have children together, police said. It is unclear what spurred the attack.

The knife was recovered between the second floor landing and the lobby, police said.

Two men killed in shooting in Harlem

An early morning shooting left two men dead in Harlem yesterday, police said.

The victims, Kenny Jimenez, 21, and Francisco Mercedez, 27, were standing on Broadway near West 151st Street when a man in a white vehicle drove up just after 2:50 a.m., police said.

The man got out and started shooting, striking Jimenez in the neck and Mercedez in the back, police said.

Jimenez, who lived just steps away, died on the street, police said. Mercedez, from the Highbridge area of the Bronx, died at Harlem Hospital Center.
