A New York Rising public meeting will take place Thursday in Copiague.

The New York Rising Community Reconstruction Program was established to provide additional rebuilding and revitalization assistance to communities severely damaged by Sandy as well as tropical storms Irene and Lee. Residents of Amityville Village, Babylon Village, Copiague, Lindenhurst Village and West Babylon are invited to come to the meeting to learn more about the program and to offer their input on the state’s community reconstruction plans.

The meeting will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Tanner Park Senior Center in Copiague.
