One of Kennedy Airports four runways will be out of service for two weeks as crews install new concrete.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says the closing will begin Thursday and is not expected to increase delays. The agency says the airport’s three other runways will handle the extra traffic.

The runway intersects with the airport’s main airstrip, Bay Runway.  Work on Bay Runway was completed in June.

The repairs are part of a massive $376 million construction project of JFK Airport’s runways.
