One person was killed and possibly eight others injured, one seriously, after a collision between a bus and car at JFK Airport Wednesday night, officials said.

The fatally injured person was in the car as was the seriously injured person, said Ron Marsico, a Port Authority spokesman.

The MTA bus and passenger car collided at about 10:25 p.m. at Pan Am Road near Parking lot 8, Marsico said.

"On the bus were about 15 people," Marsico said. "There were 6 or 7 reported injured there," but none of the injuries were life-threatening.

No additional information was immediately available, he said.
