Last week’s heat wave claimed a second New York victim, a 10-year-old Brooklyn girl who died of hyperthermia on Saturday — when the high reached 100 degrees — the medical examiner's office said Tuesday.
The identity of the girl, who police said died at home, was not released. She was said to have an underlying medical condition.
A 94-year-old woman also died from the heat in Brooklyn on Saturday. She, too, had an underlying disease, police said.
