Two Ukrainian businessmen who pleaded guilty last year to bribing former Bronx Assemb. Eric Stevenson were sentenced to 20 months and 9 months in prison in federal court in Manhattan on Tuesday.
David Binman, 52, of Glendale, and Igor Belyansky, 42, of the Bronx, were among a group of four senior center promoters who paid Stevenson $20,000 for favors. Another legislator, former Assemb. Nelson Castro, wore a wire in the investigation.
Binman was sentenced to 9 months in prison, and Belyansky was given 20 months. Co-defendants Igor Tsimerman and Rostislav Belyansky were sentenced to 24 and 18 months.
Stevenson was convicted in January. His sentencing is scheduled for May.
