A 7-year-old girl was killed and her 3-year-old sister was critically injured in a Bronx fire early Sunday morning, according to officials.

The fire broke out around 3:10 a.m. inside the family's fourth-floor home on Grant Avenue, when firefighters pulled the children from the charred building, acccording to the NYPD.

Both children and an adult were taken to Lincoln Medical Center, where Hazel, 7, was pronounced dead on arrival, and her sister Hailey was listed in critical condition.

The adult also remained hospitalized Sunday night, according to published reports.

The NYPD said the investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.
