20-year-old Brooklyn man dies in car crash

A 20-year-old Brooklyn man died after crashing into a tree on Ocean Parkway early yesterday, the NYPD said.
Zahurul Alam of Flatbush, driving a 2001 Lexus with two men inside, wrapped his car around a tree on Ocean Parkway near Avenue J while traveling north at around 2:45 a.m.
Emergency crews pronounced Alam dead at the scene while the two injured passengers, ages 20 and 23, were taken to Lutheran Medical Center and are in stable condition. Police are investigating.
