Five Brooklyn spas were shut down and 12 people were busted for running prostitution rings out of the parlors, as police conclude an investigation that earlier this year collared 19 people in connection with prostitution rings at 12 spas, the Brooklyn District Attorney's office said Monday.

Spas and massage parlors in Brooklyn Heights, Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Greenpoint were shut down in two separate busts. Four people were charged with sex trafficking; two were charged with promoting prostitution; and six were charged with prostitution or related offenses.

The probe was sparked late last year after nearby residents reported suspicious activities at the spas.
