For an organization that's supposed to honor the best in film each year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences often gets it wrong. We've parsed the history of undeserving Oscar winners to come up with some glaring mistakes.

-- Sandra Bullock somehow won Best Actress for her over-the-top performance in "The Blind Side." (2009)

--'Shakespeare in Love' shockingly beat "Saving Private Ryan" for Best Picture. (1998)

-- 'Ordinary People' sadly topped Martin Scorsese's "Raging Bull" for Best Picture. (1980)

-- Anna Paquin was fine in "The Piano," but no 11-year-old deserves an acting Oscar. (1993)

-- 'How Green Was My Valley' is NOT better than "Citizen Kane," but it won Best Picture. (1941)
