8 wounded, 1 dead in Brooklyn house party shooting
One man is dead and eight are injured after a wild shooting spree that started at a crowded house party in Brooklyn.
Police say the shooting started at the party in the East New York neighborhood around 3:15 Saturday and spilled out into the street.
According to WCBS radio, the party was advertised on Facebook as "Freaky Friday" and had a $5 cover charge.
Police believe it started when two people who were already in some sort of fight bumped into each other.
Nine people were shot and were taken area hospitals. One victim, a 20-year-old man, was killed. Police said five shooting victims were in stable condition at area hospitals Saturday, while three were treated and released.
Several suspects are being questioned. Two guns have been recovered.
