Zebra and Pony

Zebra and Pony

There was a zebra on the lam on Staten Island Wednesday, as a 4-month-old critter named Razzi fled his pen with his pony pal, Casper.

The pair of four-legged trotters reportedly escaped from the yard they call home on Victory Boulevard around 9:20 a.m. and pranced down the road to the amusement of onlookers, one of whom recorded a video of them that went viral.

Giovanni Schirripa, 31, who owns the two and keeps them as part of a planned petting zoo, quickly caught the duo and returned them to their home.

"I just went there with some food and he came right out for me," Schirripa told DNAinfo.com, adding that he bought the zebra for about $6,000.
