Aaron Rodgers: Green Bay's surpassing young passer

In just four years as a starter, reigning Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers, 28, has become one of the NFL's greatest all-around quarterbacks. Read on and see if you agree with us.

HEAD: He's efficient. The All-Pro quarterback's 9.2 yards per attempt led the NFL this season, and his career 8.2 yards per attempt is first among active quarterbacks. Nine percent of Rodgers' throws were for scores, another stat in which he led the NFL this season.

HANDS: Rodgers holds the all-time NFL record for lowest interception percentage at 1.8%. This year has been his best ever in terms of avoiding turnovers, with picks on just 1.2% of his passes. Also, his 7.5 touchdown-to-interception ratio this season (45 TDs, six interceptions) ranks second in NFL history.

EYES: A receiver doesn't have to be first on the depth chart to make important contributions when Rodgers is on the field. Seven different Packers had at least 25 receptions this season, including 29 by running back James Starks.

ARM: Rodgers' career passer rating of 104.1 is by far the highest in NFL history. The gap between Rodgers and second-ranked Tony Romo (career rating of 96.9) is bigger than the gap between Romo and 12th-ranked Chad Pennington. Rodgers' 122.5 rating this year is the highest single-season mark.

FEET: Cam Newton he isn't, but Rodgers can run the ball when he needs to. He finished fourth among quarterbacks in rushing yards, with 257 on 60 carries (4.3-yard average) and three touchdowns.

'THE FROZEN TUNDRA': Lambeau Field is Rodgers' favorite place to play. He's 27-8 there during his career, compared to 17-17 on the road. And he's won 12 straight at home.

Weaknesses

RUST: After Green Bay clinched homefield advantage, Rodgers sat out his team's Week 17 win over Detroit. He hasn't played since throwing for 283 yards and five touchdowns in a 35-21 win over Chicago on Christmas night.

SACKS: A defense can get to him. Rodgers was sacked 36 times this season - tied for sixth in the NFL. Pass rushers brought him down 50 times in 2009, tying him with Ben Roethlisberger for the dubious league lead.
