 'Rebecca' producer says show will open this year Just when you thought the never-ending melodrama with the musical "Rebecca," which was forced to abort its planned Broadway run twice, had finally ended, lead producer Ben Sprecher now claims that the show will finally bow on Broadway by the end of 2013, as first reported by The New York Times. If a major production of "Rebecca" does not come along soon, Sprecher will apparently need to refund the millions of dollars he received from his investors. 
 Public's clues suggest 'Errors' at the park Although the Public Theater has yet to announce its upcoming Shakespeare in the Park season, it has provided three clues regarding the first show to be performed: it is a "delicious comedy" that will feature a "beloved" Public Theater alum; the show has been adapted into a musical more than once and it hasn't been done at the Delacorte in more than 20 years. It's probably "The Comedy of Errors," which has been adapted twice and was last performed at the Delacorte in 1992. 
 'Starcatcher' set to reopen Off-Broadway It looks like the trend of moving tired Broadway shows to Off-Broadway, where the rent is cheaper, isn't over yet. It's been revealed that "Peter and the Starcatcher," which is about to finish its Broadway run, will reopen in March at New World. 
 Alexander set to star in Noah's Ark revival "Seinfeld" star Jason Alexander will star in the York Theatre Company's upcoming mounting of "Two by Two," Richard Rodgers' musical adaptation of the Noah's Ark story, running Feb. 15-17.
