Attorney Alan Dershowitz's sister-in-law was struck and killed by a U.S. Postal Service truck while riding her bike in Manhattan yesterday.

Police say Marilyn Dershowitz, 68, was killed after being struck near West 29th Street and Ninth Avenue. The truck drove off, apparently unaware of the fatal accident.

Marilyn Dershowitz retired as Manhattan State Supreme Court special referee in December and had overseen divorce trials, including the proceedings of Dr. Nicholas Bartha and his wife.

The physician blew up their East Side town house and killed himself in 2006 so that his former wife could not benefit from its sale.

The truck driver has not been charged. -- AP
