A tow-truck driver was charged Monday for drunken driving and reckless endagerment for allegedly crashing his SUV into a van full of teens while he was driving the wrong way on the Van Wyck Expressway.

Early Sunday morning, Jose Chimbo's Nissan Murano collided head on with a van that had 13 teenagers who were returning from a party, the DA said. The teens and their driver were taken to local hospitals for minor injuries.

Chimbo, 34, allegedly told cops he had a few drinks before getting behind the wheel, but the results of a blood test were not ready Monday afternoon.

The suspect, who has a Baltimore address, was recovering Monday from a broken leg and other injuries.
