Amanda Bynes just shaved the hair off half her head

Amanda Bynes is going full-on Britney Spears '07 -- or, half-Brit, rather.

The 27-year-old actress has shaved off half her beautiful blonde locks, tweeting a photo of herself with her newly buzzed head last last week.

Her new hairstyle, combined with her constantly bizarre tweets and allegations she was caught smoking weed in her gym’s bathroom, have led some to worry she's on a crash course for a full-on meltdown.

But according to Bynes, she cut her hair to limit damages from a bad salon treatment.

“I had to shave my head because of hair damage from someone @ John Barrett so I'm not loving my paparazzi pics for a few years!” Bynes wrote.

Since then, Bynes appears to have warmed to her new ‘do. “This is the new me! I love it!,” she tweeted on April 25.
