Andrew W.K. to drum for 24 hours

In honor of Wednesday’s O Music Awards — which celebrate “the best in digital music” — rocker Andrew W.K. resolved to drum for 24 hours straight in the Times Square Oakley store.
W.K, a New York resident, is counting on drawing strength from the Times Square setting, which he called “one of the main apexes of energy in the entire world,” and the adrenaline of playing with guest drummers that will join him, including ?uestlove from The Roots.
“Worst case scenario: I vomit, or I die,” W.K. said. “At least I’ll go out on a high note — or a low note.”
His session starts Wednesday at 7 p.m. at 1515 Broadway.
