Aubrey Plaza took a prank a little too far at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night.

The “Parks and Recreation” star was asked to leave the awards show after rushing the stage during Will Ferrell’s acceptance speech for his Comedic Genius Award, a source confirmed Monday.

The source said the stunt was unplanned.

Taking a page from the Kanye West playbook, a dazed-looking Plaza — who was barefoot — left her front-row seat, went up on stage and attempted to take Ferrell’s golden popcorn award from him. She ended up leaving empty-handed.

Ferrell, meanwhile, joked to the audience: “Aubrey Plaza, everyone. Just like we rehearsed it.”

In 2009, West famously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, saying his pal Beyoncé deserved to win instead of the country crooner.

After leaving Sunday’s show, Plaza tweeted: “Thanks for the advice @kanyewest went better than planned!”
