Aurora shooting suspect returns to court Monday

James Holmes -- the 24-year-old suspect in the Aurora, Colo., shootings -- will be back in court Monday when prosecutors formally arraign him on multiple charges of murder.

The former University of Colorado PhD student continues to be kept in solitary confinement while investigators try to figure out why he killed 12 people and wounded 58 more during a midnight screening of the "Dark Knight Rises" on July 20.

During his first court appearance last week, Holmes appeared dazed and did not speak.

Several of the victims are still recuperating from the incident, and on Saturday, one victim went through another tragedy. Ashley Moser, 25, who was shot in the neck and abdomen, suffered a miscarriage, her family said.

"Ashley is suffering a deep tragedy in the loss of her daughter and needs significant time to heal," the family said in a statement.

Holmes' attorneys said he was under the care of a campus psychiatrist and filed a court order to have the authorities turn over a diary that Holmes allegedly gave the doctor.
