Back from health scare, Barbara Walters returned to her co-hosting gig on ABC's "The View" Monday.
Walters thanked her fans for their support and received a surprise visit from Mayor Michael Bloomberg who came to the set with flowers.
The 83-year-old TV icon told the audience of the talk show, who gave her a standing ovation, that she was feeling fine after she had a bout with chickenpox and a concussion.
"People have said I should have my head examined," she said. "I did and I'm fine."
Walters hit her head when she fainted at the residence of a British ambassador in January.
She said Monday that the collapse was the result of the chickenpox she contracted at a friend's home in Florida.
