Baby, it’s cold outside! Especially in the water!

Some hardy New Yorkers welcomed in the new year in one of the coldest ways possible — a dip into the frigid waters off Coney Island.

Organizers of the annual New Year’s Day Polar Bear Swim said about 1,500 people took a dip into the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday while supporters watched from the shore.

The New Year’s Day tradition was also a fundraising event for Camp Sunshine for children with serious illnesses.
