Disney developing ‘Frozen’ as stage musical As if you couldn’t already guess, Disney will make a stage version of the animated film musical “Frozen,” as revealed by Disney exec Bob Iger in an interview with Fortune. Based on the time it took for the stage versions of “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Lion King” to materialize following their film debuts, “Frozen” could be on Broadway about four years from now. 
 ‘Realistic Joneses’ with Collette, Tomei, Hall set for Broadway “The Realistic Joneses,” a new play by experimental playwright Will Eno&nbsp; about two suburban couples that scored great reviews during a regional run at Yale Repertory Theatre, will play Broadway in the spring. The starry cast includes Toni Collette, Michael C. Hall, Tracy Letts and Marisa Tomei. It will be directed by Sam Gold (“Fun Home”). 
 Borle, Johnson, Blumenkrantz join ‘Sweeney’ cast Tony winner and former “Smash” co-star Christian Borle, who will soon be appearing in the City Center Encores! production of “Little Me,” will also play the narcissistic barber Pirelli in the New York Philharmonic’s March staging of “Sweeney Todd.” Other new casting includes Jay Armstrong Johnson as Anthony, Jeff Blumenkrantz as The Beadle, Philip Quast as Judge Turpin and Erin Mackey as Johanna. Bryn Terfel and Emma Thompson lead the production as Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett. 
 ‘Broadway Bares’ to move from Roseland to Hammerstein Ballroom With the upcoming demise of the Roseland Ballroom, many have wondered about the future of “Broadway Bares,” the annual burlesque show that raises money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS that has always been held at Roseland. BC/EFA announced this week that the hot-selling, near-naked spectacle will go forward in June at the Hammerstein Ballroom. 
 ‘Romeo and Juliet’ with Orlando Bloom to be screened in movie theaters The fall Broadway production of “Romeo and Juliet” with Orlando Bloom, which shuttered early due to low ticket sales, is hitting the movies. As part of BroadwayHD, a new venture intended to bring New York stage productions to movie theaters, the show will be screened across the country starting in February. 
 HBO gives go-ahead to ‘Normal Heart’ sequel In advance of the May premiere of the television film of Larry Kramer’s seminal AIDS drama “The Normal Heart,” HBO, which produced the film, has given Kramer the go-ahead to write a sequel, as first reported by Deadline.com. It is not clear whether the follow-up would be based on “The Destiny of Me,” a 1992 stage sequel to “The Normal Heart.”
