Orlando to Bloom in ‘Romeo and Juliet’
Although a new production of “Romeo and Juliet” with Elizabeth Olsen will play at Off-Broadway’s Classic Stage Company in the fall, it was announced Monday that a separate production of the romantic tragedy will open on Broadway in September and will star Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad. Director David Leveaux intends it to be an interracial production where the Montagues are white and the Capulets are black.
