‘Spidey’
Remember two-and-a-half years ago when “Spider-Man” was still in a state of unending turmoil? Things have been relatively quiet since it officially opened. Warner and Shaw recently collaborated on the one-woman monologue “The Testament of Mary,” which quickly flopped on Broadway.

The Tony-winning musical “Once,” as part of an event being called “Once Week,” will distribute 20 free tickets through a lottery for four performances from Aug. 20 to 23. There doesn’t seem to be a particular reason for all this, but who’s arguing?
‘My Name is Asher Lev’ to shutter in Sept.
“My Name is Asher Lev,” the Off-Broadway adaptation of Chaim Potok’s well-known novel about an aspiring Jewish painter and his orthodox parents, will close on Sept. 1. Despite generally less-than-enthusiastic reviews, the three-person drama managed to run 341 performances, quite an accomplishment for a commercial Off-Broadway production.
