Betsey Johnson forgoing Fashion Week show

Betsey Johnson won't be bringing her signature flashy style to the catwalk during Fashion Week in New York next month.

"Betsey will be taking the [fall/winter 2013] season off to focus on her brand expansion," the company announced Monday.

That includes a dress launch, a new fragrance and work on her upcoming Style Network reality show, "The Betsey and Lulu Show," with daughter Lulu Johnson.

Johnson filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May, but threw a 70th birthday party-runway show during September's Fashion Week.

Though she won't have a runway show this time around, Johnson is slated to host a FW event to be taped for her reality show.
