Bill Clinton: If Hillary wants to run, she'll be ready

Bill Clinton said his wife is more primed for a presidential race than she was in 2008 - if she chooses to run, that is.

In an interview on ABC's "This Week," Bill said Hillary has learned from her loss to then-Sen. Barack Obama in 2008, when he admitted that Obama "had a better grassroots organization in many states."

"The next one will be better," Bill told ABC's "This Week." "It will be different, whether she's in it or not. They're all different. And the main thing is you must learn the lessons of your mistakes and your failures without becoming a general who fights the last war, because every new encounter will be shaped by different forces."

He added that "big data helps, it really matters, and you have to merge high tech with grassroots," referring to Obama's '08 strategy.

Hillary, the former secretary of state, has yet to declare her intentions on running for president in 2016, but has said she'll take her time to make a decision either way.
