Blast off! Lady Gaga to peform in outer space
As if Lady Gaga weren't out there enough, the songstress is now heading to outer space.
Gaga, 27, is slated to become the first artist to perform in outer space, doing so on a Virgin Galactic flight in early 2015.
"Guess which performer @virgingalactic is shooting into outer space to belt out her tunes? @LADYGAGA!" Virgin tweeted on Wednesday.
According to Us Weekly, which first reported the news, the "Applause" singer's performance will take place during the Zero G Colony music festival in New Mexico. The show will be broadcast down to Earth.
"She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere," a source told the magazine.
Gaga's show will occur six months after the first Virgin Galactic commercial space flight. Celebs including Ashton Kutcher and Leonardo DiCaprio have already signed up for trips with billionaire Richard Branson's company.
But Gaga's flight isn't without precautions: "Gaga has taken out a ridiculous life insurance policy," the source said.
