Mayor Michael Bloomberg is betting big on the Rangers' playoff series against the Ottawa Senators, which kicked off Thursday night.
Hizzoner has entered into a friendly wager with Ottawa Mayor James A. Watson, he announced Thursday, and the stakes are pretty delicious.
If the Blueshirts take the series, Watson will send down a BeaverTail, from the iconic Ottawa pastry chain, along with a congratulatory tweet from the city's official Twitter account.
But if the Rangers lose, Bloomy will send up a blueberry cheesecake from Brooklyn's Court Pastry Shop, as well as his own municipal tweet.
"With the New York Giants’ Super Bowl victory still on our minds, I know New Yorkers are excited for another champion run by our Blueshirts," Bloomberg said.
