Mayor Michael Bloomberg does not support a proposal that would limit how many places in the city can sell alcohol, his spokesman said Wednesday.
His opposition came after The New York Post Wednesday cited a initiative backed by the city health department to limit the number of outlets that sell alcohol, curb illegal alcohol and reduce the public's exposure to liquor-related ads.
The mayor's spokesman told The Post he still looks to reduce binge drinking and illegal alcohol sales.
