Bloomberg, Koch throw weight behind Rangel's re-election

Rep. Charles Rangel received big political boosts Wednesday for his reelection campaign.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former Mayor Ed Koch both backed the Democratic incumbent.
Rangel, 81, is facing tough competition from State Sen. Adriano Espaillat, 57, who has his own set of big backers, including former Bronx borough presidents Fernando Ferrer and Adolfo Carrión Jr.
