Bloomberg presses state Senate Republicans for marriage-equity bill

Mayor Michael Bloomberg made a hard sell to Senate Republicans in Albany yesterday, promising to back those who support a marriage-equality bill and predicting defeat for those opposed.
“The longer the Senate obstructs marriage equality, the heavier the price they will pay not only in the history books, but at the polls,” Bloomberg said.
Two years ago, a similar bill failed because all Republican Senators and a few Democrats rejected it.
