Not allowed to buy a gun? No problem!
That’s what New York investigators found while going undercover at an Arizona gun show, where they bought weapons after admitting they wouldn’t pass a background check, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said yesterday.
The investigators bought guns at the show, even though the dealers were supposed to turn them down after the background-check admission, Bloomberg said.
Under federal law, dealers at gun shows don’t have to perform background checks, a loophole the mayor wants closed.
