Body pulled from water near Battery Park

A man's body has been recovered from the water off Battery Park City in lower Manhattan.

A police harbor unit responded to a call of a man in the water at 9:20 a.m. Saturday.

The officers found a 31-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive. They took the body to North Cove Marina. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

The man's name has not been released yet. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
