Boy, 5 dies after falling from Brooklyn building, cops say

Police say a 5-year-old boy has died after falling from the fifth floor balcony of a Brooklyn apartment building.

It happened at the boy's home on Wallabout Street in Williamsburg at about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the boy, identified as Meisels Shimon, was taken by private ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It wasn't clear how the boy fell.
