Boy, 7, killed in East Elmhurst house fire

A 7-year-old boy was killed and a teenager critically injured when a fire started in a Queens home about 9 a.m. on New Year's Day, authorities said.
Christopher Miller was pronounced dead at the scene, a two-story building on 90th Street in East Elmhurst, fire and police officials said.
A 13-year-old boy was taken to Cornell Medical Center for smoke inhalation and was listed in stable condition, police said.
One adult in the home and three firefighters also suffered minor injuries, officials said.
The fire, brought under control shortly after 10 a.m., is being investigated, a fire department spokesman said.
