After making a brief appearance at a Manhattan court yesterday on his DUI rap, free agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards told reporters that he wants to stay with the Jets.

Edwards, 28, reportedly said he’s met with team officials and that there’s interest on both sides, but they just need to work out the details.

The star receiver was busted in September for allegedly driving with a blood-alcohol level of twice the legal limit. His attorney reportedly said yesterday he wants the Breathalyzer test thrown out, questioning its accuracy.

Edwards is due back in court on May 16.
