Britney Spears to judge 'X Factor'?

Britney Spears might want to join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid at the judges' table on "X Factor" and has reached out to the show, a source told Us Weekly.

The series recently fired judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, plus lame-o host Steve Jones.

Another pop icon is in talks to become a judge: Multiple sources confirmed to the mag last week that Janet Jackson was in the running. In addition, Fergie's name has been tossed around, a source added Wednesday.

In other "X" news, 14-year-old teen-bot castoff Rachel Crow has landed deals to star in a Nickelodeon show and record an album with Columbia Records, according to THR. Hollywood Reporter.
