A 19-year-old Bronx woman was charged Sunday with throwing her dead baby down her building's trash chute after cops made the discovery Saturday night, according to officials.
Ariel Devonish-Francis, of West Farms Road, allegedly told staff at the Albert Einstein University Hospital that she threw the body down after giving birth, according to published reports. Officials determined the baby was stillborn.
Devonish-Francis was charged with misappropriation of a cadaver, a misdemeanor. Because the baby was stillborn, it's unlikely the teen will face more chargers.
