Police are looking for a woman reported missing by her husband after an argument at their Bronx home, and fear she may be dead.

Tina Adovasio was last seen at her Throg's Neck home at about 9 p.m. Friday. Her husband is a former NYPD officer who left in 2000. Officials say he has a history of domestic abuse, with his previous wife and Adovasio. She was seeking to separate after several domestic violence incidents.

The husband told authorities the two had an argument, she stormed out and he eventually called 911. They have a 5-year-old daughter together, and she has three other children from a previous marriage. The 40-year-old Adovasio is a nurse.

Police are searching her home and hunting for any trace of her.
