6 hurt in Brooklyn Bridge chain-reaction crash, NYPD says
Six people have been injured in a chain-reaction collision on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Police say it occurred shortly before 5 a.m. Monday when a disabled Honda was hit from behind by a Lexus in the eastbound lanes of the span.
They say the Lexus was then struck by a sedan. That caused the Lexus to overturn and the rear-seat passenger to be ejected. The passenger was removed to a hospital in serious condition.
Four people in the Honda and one person in the sedan were taken to a hospital after complaining of back and neck injuries. They're all in stable condition.
The driver of the Lexus has been taken into custody at the scene. Charges are pending.
